At Lunchbox Buddy, our mission is to take the stress out of school mornings. A huge part of that convenience is our dedicated home delivery service. For a flat fee of just R20 per address, we bring 20 days of school snacks straight to your door.

Here is exactly how our Pretoria route-based delivery system works.

Why Route-Based?

We utilise a route-based delivery system rather than an on-demand courier service. This means we group deliveries by suburb on specific days. This approach allows us to keep our delivery fee incredibly low (only R20!) and significantly reduces our carbon footprint.

The Delivery Timeline

Our goal is to ensure you have your box ready before the new school month begins.

  • End of the Month: Deliveries typically take place during the last week of the month.
  • Communication: A few days before your scheduled delivery, we will send you a WhatsApp message confirming your delivery day and providing a time window.
  • On the Day: Our driver will contact you when they are the next stop on the route, giving you time to prepare for their arrival.

What Happens If You Are Not Home?

We understand that life is busy. If you know you won’t be home during your delivery window, please let us know in advance via WhatsApp.

  • Safe Drop: You can instruct us to leave the box with a security guard at your complex, or in a safe, shaded spot on your property. (Please note: Lunchbox Buddy cannot accept responsibility for boxes left unattended per your instructions).
  • Work Deliveries: Many parents prefer to have their boxes delivered to their workplace. As long as it is within our Pretoria delivery zones, we are happy to drop it at your office reception!

Multiple Boxes, One Fee

If you have two or three children, you might be ordering multiple boxes. The great news is that our R20 delivery fee is charged per address, not per box. We will bundle your household’s order together and deliver it all at once.
